[AU6] Her Imperious Condescension
Characters in Dax's group are directed to dorm level one, Riki's to level two, and Jason's to level three. They are met by a retrieval unit and are ushered into an elevator where a colored band is attached to their wrists--Dax's group is black, Riki's group is white, and Jason's group is red. The three groups will find themselves meeting up briefly in a center area, around which three pod-like areas that match the colors of their bands are attached. Dax, Riki, Jason, and a teenage girl await them in the center; the girl is holding a microphone and seems to be dressed more for television than anything. Her voice is perky and excited.
"Welcome to the arena! You'll be helping us decide who is the best Tower controller. The best way to figure it out is through direct competition, or at least that's what I think. You'll be living in here for the rest of the month! Don't worry, there's power and food and everything you'll need to survive here. Just remember, this is a competition, and if you lose, your group will get punished, okay?"
After that wholly unsatisfactory explanation, the groups are separated once more, led by their group leader (Dax, Riki, or Jason) to the pod of the appropriate color. Attempting to enter a different pod will not work; the pod reads the band colors and rejects ones that do not match. Each pod has been customized by its leader (these may change from week to week):
Dax
Dax's group will experience conditions much like the Tower when it is active and powered. There are five bedrooms with four beds each, as well as two bathrooms, one for men and one for women. These are attached to a hallway which leads to a large common room with lounge chairs, board games, books, and a television with a handful of video games and movies. This lounge is also connected to a combined kitchen/dining room area where a clear-collared worker unit will serve any type of food requested, as well as provide medicine if necessary.
Riki
Riki's area is one large, circular common room connected to individual rooms--each character gets their own bedroom and bathroom. Of course, if you pay attention, there's no way the rooms can possibly be as big as they are inside if you look at how close all the doors are. And even though the room appears perfectly rounded, it's possible to find a corner and measure it: there are ten corners and all of them are exactly 90 degrees. The floor is flat, measurably so, but anything you leave on it will roll toward the center, and the individual bedrooms synchronize to their owners; the walls will pulse in time with breath and the ceiling in time with pulse. Characters can access food and medicine through a computer terminal in their rooms designed to do nothing but provide this food and medicine; the meals are very simple but filling enough. Of course, the bedrooms themselves seem to change size whenever you leave and enter them. Just being in this pod can cause headaches, dizziness, and general unease.
Jason
Jason places each person in an individual cell in a laboratory environment. Characters may converse with each other, and for three hours will be allowed to interact in person in a small, perfectly white, empty room, but aside from this they will have little to do. The surgical suite is in full view of the cells; all characters will be able to watch any surgery that takes place. Characters will be fed nutrition bars and water; any medicine they require will be provided. Surgeries will be performed as replies to your characters' sign up responses. They may have more than one surgery. We will not be playing out the surgeries due to the high number involved, although you may make your own thread for others to react to.
This Week's Challenges
As this is the first week, the challenges are simple ones. Challenges are classified as active or passive; passive ones require no work on your part except that you participate in the event in general, while active ones will require you reply to mark your character's participation. Results will be tallied at the end of the week.
Obedience: How well do you behave within your pods? Good behavior is something the Tower would like to encourage, after all. This event is passive.
Endurance: How much can your character withstand? No complaining or whining about pain or being here, understood? This event is passive.
Acclimation: How quickly do you become at home within your pods? It's important that anyone who gets rescued feel comfortable quickly! This event is passive.
The thread for week one of this event will take place here.
Meanwhile, in the Tower...
A crate of nutrition bars and water bottles has been dropped off on floor thirty-four. Ten flashlights can be found scattered around floor thirty. The power is on on floor thirteen.

Re: QUESTIONS
When a member is killed off, what exactly happens? Do they wake up mangled in the pod, go back to the Tower (and therefore miss the rest of the competition), or...?

So... With powers possibly going WILDLY OUT OF CONTROL back in the tower with, would Siira be able to hear the 'voice'
and screams and agony and all around sufferingof the world the tower is on?Or can she hear it very vaguely (like back home) and towards the end of the months it becomes more clear and agonizing/traumatizing for her?

Re: QUESTIONS
Is it only the bedrooms that suffer from wacky geometry, or is it the same for the common room?
