"Love Fool" Player Plot Sign Up Post

Hot on the heels of the other player plots for this month comes one more! From March 29th until April 4th, Diarmuid is going to become a very unhappy camper as his curse goes from activating rarely and for short bursts to almost constantly being active. For those who aren't familiar with Diarmuid's curse, during his first life a spirit of love, youth and beauty gave him what she considered a gift--a curse that makes any woman who sees his face fall in love with him. The mole under his right eye is the physical manifestation of that curse.

During the beginning of the event, Diarmuid will be out and about the tower doing his usual rounds, meeting with people etc. What he won't realize is that the curse has basically gone back to its usual strength--instead of being actively only rarely and randomly, it will be active most of the time and only rarely inactive. On top of that, for an unknown reason (April Fools anyone?) his curse will be affecting both men and woman instead of just women as usual.

As Diarmuid begins to realize what is going on, he will start isolating himself in his room to stop affecting other people. However, this will only backfire on him because while he will not be out affecting others, he will now be staying in one place so that everyone affected can easily find him and everyone else vying for his attention!

What does this mean for the characters in the tower? Anyone who signs up for the event and then tags Diarmuid's permissions post here (since being affected by the curse requires a permissions post tag), will be considered to have been affected by Diarmuid's curse. How strongly they react and how long they are affected for is up to the character's mun. So far, most characters affected have been so for a week or two at the most. It has also been shown that those who have a strong will and/or know that they are affected by the curse have a much easier time resisting it and recover much more quickly than those who don't know or actually want to feel love for him.

So, feel free to have your character react however strongly you wish! Do they stalk him from afar or try to lock him in his room so that no one else can have him? The sky is the limit here especially once he retreats to his room and people start running into each other looking for him. Fights are encouraged and as the end of the event draws near, a certain Master and Servant combo will be taking up guard at Diarmuid's doorway to try and keep out all those affected by the curse. The problem with this? They have been affected as well!

Everyone is welcome to have their character affected whether or not they already have CR with Diarmuid. This is an excellent way to start up some CR with him if you have wanted to but really haven't found the chance to yet as he will most likely be checking in with those who were affected afterward just because he's a nice guy like that and wants to make sure everyone is okay.

If you don't want to have your character affected, but would like to get caught up in the shenanigans outside of his room, that is an option as well. People who would like to have their character troll Diarmuid and act like they are affected when they really aren't are also welcome! Or maybe your character wants to give him a thank you or something like that for helping them out, but has been too shy to until now when they can do it under the guise of being affected. The opportunities really are endless, so don't be shy about signing up.

How strongly are they affected?For Yotsuba, it will puppy dog/first crush levels..and for Raphael, it will be at a level where the Archangel will want to be in a romantic relationship with Diarmuid..and try out the physical things, if he thinks it's safe enough.
Do you have any specific plans for the event? Yes, actually. Yotsuba will be asking around, seeing if people can help her with these odd emotions. I'm not sure exactly how Raphael will react yet, but we'll see.

[Tohko will also be helping the Master and Servant pair protect Diarmuid, but she won't be affected by the curse.]

Do you have any specific plans for the event? I was planning to have Kariya utilize his Servant, Lancelot, to deal with other suitors either through force or by leading them away (since Lancelot can take on the forms of other people).

How strongly are they affected? Lancer won't be a complete yandere, but he'll be getting full-on romantic feelings for Diarmuid.
Do you have any specific plans for the event? Lancer is probably gonna be overprotective and try to guard Diarmuid with the ulterior motive of keeping him to himself. Sola will try to shelter him until she realizes she just can't protect him from the horde. Otherwise, no plans.

Lancelot will develop a passionate interest in Diarmuid, which he will deny, but will then attempt to share-- as in he will arrive at Diarmuid's door and play the suitor, making as thorough, and as intimate, a proposal as he may. Until his Master tells him to cut it out, that is. Hijinks will ensue.
Do you have any specific plans for the event? Argue with Karyia over Diarmuid-- Guard the door, bouncing as many comers as Lancelot may by whatever means necessary-- for example: using a Noble Phantasm to appear as Diarmuid, leading other victims of the curse astray in one way or another. That should about do it!

How strongly are they affected? Cecil will be having the romantic feelings, of course, but she'll be rather conflicted because she's already engaged (she believes her intended to be dead along with her world). She's not likely to tell Diarmuid directly, but she's also not very good at keeping a secret, so other "suitors"? Feel free to pick up on her affections and get into arguments/fights with her and/or run off to tattle.

America will be just plain old attracted to Diarmuid as much as she will be to any good-looking individual. She won't be in love and she probably won't aim for a romantic relationship at any time during the event (and especially not afterwards).
Do you have any specific plans for the event? Specific plans... not particularly, so I'm open to ideas!

Do you have any specific plans for the event? The Lethal Chef will decide that cooking for her crush is the best idea ever. There will be suspicious-looking cookies in his mailbox/outside his room with a cutesy-looking note. There will be attempts to cook dinner. Feel free to have it interpreted as a poisoning attempt - it would look like that, just because she's that bad of a cook canonically.

Since the effect is low most of the time he probably wouldn't even be aware of it except for increased aggressiveness at anyone pursuing Dia, but if anyone explicitly asks him to help he'll probably take that for granted. Also he's stupid and oblivious and mildly romantically impaired. Just a bit. UMM he'll probably still be a terrible hypocrite and try to lecture his OU self about his obvious big terrible crush. UM. During spikes, though, he might end up sending Blade Wing Worms at people. Ahahhahaa... hopefully it just results in bugbites/Worms in everyone's hair.

Nah, it's fine with me. The amusing thing is, if it's too weird...it might go right over his head. The Grail put a lot of information into his head, but somehow I doubt it figured sex stuff was that important for someone fighting in a war. X.x

How strongly are they affected?Shiro is fourteen but she behaves like she's younger, and she knows close to nothing about romance. She'll most probably just want to eat sweets, play and hang out with her new 'friend'. And she'll blush a lot. And if Diarmuid rejects her, she'll cry and leave. Wretched Egg will see everything but won't come out.
Do you have any specific plans for the event?Not yet. Maybe another of Shiro's friend will take care of her until the spell wears off, especially if she's sad. Wretched Egg and Diarmuid can meet after the even?

She probably won't realize that she's crushing on him, but it'll show itself through being unusually protective of him (and probably try to pummel anyone who'd actively try to hurt him,) As a direct result of this she probably will do a little spying/stalking/etc, but she's not going to go straight-up yandere or anything haha!

She'll probably just be really dumb and awkward and her normal tsundere self around him, just...with more attempts to hang around him and more fussing over his well being. Basically what you'd expect out of a teenager with a crush, I guess. Oh right, and she'll share her food with him too. That part's important.
