Event: Cognizance
The collar check-up boycott's effects were not limited to the week of chaos the Tower populace was treated to for their rebellion. From the 26th to the 28th, something strange will happen while those in the Tower are sleeping.
After midnight on the 26th, characters who were successfully able to avoid getting a collar check-up will come to abruptly, as if being woken from sleep, though they may not have been sleeping at the time. Everything around them will be strangely motionless; other player characters (who did not miss their check-ups), as well as any pets, will be completely still. If they are in their beds, these characters will appear as normal while frozen. However, if a frozen character is encountered outside of a dormitory, they will be surrounded by a shield of white light. All frozen characters can be moved, though characters with shields cannot be moved through purely physical means -- they can only be moved through the use of powers such as levitation.
Though most residents of the Tower are motionless, retrieval and worker units continue to patrol accordingly. They will not respond abnormally to any characters that are awake. Additionally, the monsters in the Tower also still have their full range of movement. They cannot harm characters with shields, but conscious characters (and those in the dormitories, should the monsters be led there) are completely susceptible to attack.
All terminals display a message on-screen.
During time suspension, retrieval units will exit out of elevators contained within each dormitory room and change the fluid within the pods. They will also do cursory checks of trunks and possessions in the room and switch out anything made of something real with something made of film.
Starting on the 27th, any character may become conscious during this 2-3 hour span, not just those who missed their collar check-ups.
A catch-all mingle log will be posted by the mods on the 26th for conscious characters.
At any point during the 26th to the 28th (meaning, not restricted to the 2-3 hour span in which most characters are frozen), if a character has a job, they may come to while doing this job in the administrative levels. Characters that awaken while in the administrative levels have no control over their own body. They are completely aware and capable of observation, but their body is piloted entirely by a force that is not their own. There is no way to free themselves of this.
Any job position may be called upon to work in the administrative levels, though their tasks may vary from those they complete in the residential levels. Job divisions in the administrative levels are as follows:
Cleaning duties entail catch-all custodial services for general messes; mopping, dusting, sweeping, and cleaning up spills in various locations throughout the administrative levels.
Positions that will complete cleaning duties: window washers, janitors, garbage duty, ball pit cleaners, maids.
Processing duties pertain to repairing and replacing damaged bodies. This includes hauling the corpses out of a chute that the retrieval units dump them into, carrying corpses up to the machine that pulls the soul out, taking the body away from the machine, and pulling the discarded body apart.
Positions that will complete processing duties: morgue workers, gravekeepers.
Library duties include cleaning and organizing the administrative libraries, which consist of the personal libraries of Ruana, Jason, and Riki.
Positions that will complete library duties: librarians.
Retrieval unit duties involve placing retrieval units in charging pods, cleaning them, and refilling their collar fluid.
Positions that will complete retrieval unit duties: security officers.
Water maintenance duties include working with large water tanks that clean the water, and separating out and adding drugs to water intended for various purposes.
Positions that will complete water maintenance duties: pool cleaners.
Monster-related duties include tending to the caged monsters in Jason's lab, which means feeding them and occasionally drugging/sedating them.
Positions that will complete monster-related duties: jailers.
Assisting Jason entails mixing collar fluid and aiding in monster-related experiments he is conducting.
Positions that will assist Jason: nurses.
Delivery services encompass bringing objects and letters down from the residential levels addressed to the admins (this includes emptying the suggestion box to put in a file for the next administrator), and carrying any admin packages up to residential mailboxes.
Positions that will complete delivery services: postal workers.
Entertainment is sometimes required in the administrative levels. Entertainers will simply do tricks for Ruana.
Positions that will entertain: circus performers.
Food preparation involves both preparing food for the administrators and preparing nutrition bars and oatmeal for the residents.
Positions that will prepare food: culinary assistant
Zo and Ruana's chambers need special care as well. Taking care of the various toys and tasks here is a bit of a chore.
Positions that will care for Zo and Ruana's chambers: shopkeeper: dolls

PLEASE WAIT. TIME SUSPENSION IN PROGRESS...Characters cannot access the network while this message is displayed. It will be displayed from between two to three hours each night, after which point all characters will become conscious and the terminal screens will return to normal. If a frozen character has been moved during the night, they will not notice anything strange about their new location; their memories will be altered to include having moved of their own volition at some point. If the placement of any objects or monsters surrounding them has changed, their memories regarding this will be altered, as well.

(Because let's be honest if I appoint her as culinary assistant she'd eat all the food and instead of preparing it XD)
