While walking, a child will dart around a corner as if from nowhere and leap at France too fast for him to react. The child, a young girl whose face is completely blank, seems to grip onto his brain and dig her nails into it, even though his skull is perfectly intact. He'll feel as if the girl is clawing at the core of his being. Every scratch feels as if she's digging real furrows into his countrysides and crushing cities and villages beneath her palm.

Her face forms, eventually--Jeanne D'Arc as France remembers her from his past, though the face is twisted into a disgusted sneer aimed at him.

As abruptly as the girl appears, though, she catches on fire and vanishes, leaving France unharmed.
