Event: Infighting; Sign Ups

The Tower shuts down for the month of June in a way it never has before--the clear-collared units seen throughout the Tower are gone, and with it all food in the cafeteria and restaurant. In fact, just about everything seems to have stopped working--there is no heating or cooling system available, dust and grime seems to pile up where normally it used to seem self-cleaning, and even collar checkups stop working, leaving characters who remain in the Tower feeling more and more lightheaded as June goes on, to the point of powers deactivating completely or going wildly out of control by the end of the month. Characters still revive if dead, but there's a delay of at least two days, and often they come back still bleeding and half-broken. It's as if no one is watching the Tower at all...

Because they're not. Slowly characters begin receiving short notes directing them to go to dorm level one, two, or three on the fourth. If they don't go on their own, it will quickly become apparent the retrieval units can still be sent out to gather people up. They are being separated into three groups, controlled by Dax, Riki, and Jason, and they will be taken elsewhere to play a game. Participation means being removed from the Tower until the end of the month. You will have until the fifth to sign up. Be warned that Jason's group may bring severe physical and mental trauma to your character more than the other two, followed by Riki. Dax's group will have the mildest level.

Once all selected characters are split into groups, they will be used to prove which one--Dax, Riki, or Jason--is the best at Tower control. Each group will be tended to by one and only one of the controllers; they will control their group however they see fit and compete with the other two groups. The entire operation will be overseen by Ruana, acting as judge for the competitions.

Dax favors a similar level of control as is exhibited in the Tower when it is at its most normal, Riki favors physics-shattering realities that weigh heavily on the sanity of those living within his walls, and Jason favors surgical experiments to enhance his group. Every week various tasks will be assigned; whichever group does worst at the tasks will have to eliminate one or more members of the group: they will vote for the death of one of their own members.

As for the Tower proper, well, there is one person left who can access the controls who isn't busy playing games...

Via the power fluctations near the end of June... Xion absorbs memories of others - though most of the time it only latches on Sora or Roxas (or as Mala and I have both assumed, her AU self).

It's not something she can control, rather part of the programming she was made with, though it's something that could probably be affected by the collars. Would it be reasonable, you think, that if her powers in general were to go out of control, this property of hers might too? And in particular, it might absorb some memories that aren't Sora's, Roxas' or AUXion's? This has happened in canon - in one instance where she pulled a memory from Riku, as seen in this scene (and Roxas gets caught up in the equation IDEK this scene is so confusing I'm not sure if anyone's been able to figure it out).

When you say "removed from Tower" I assume you don't mean removed from play? That is, will those signing up still have RP opportunities?

I had two questions relating to Doc:

- He is making and pancakes and coffee thanks to machines he has created- If he is still provided with the ingredients (they were unrelated to the cafeteria), will he still be able to make some during the coming month or not?

- Doc has been working on a Home Energy Nuclear Reactor (he's been able to build one out of Western-era material so I assume in the tower he'll succeed?). My question was, if he tries to power up a floor or the network using it (it's not finished yet but he's gonna work solely on that from now on), would it work or would it explode or something?

All food in the Cafeteria/Restaurant is disappearing, other than Newbie Only-Oatmeal, but what about the berries/nuts/mushrooms/small animals on Floor 32? Obviously if someone wants meat they're going to have to catch it first, and there's always the chance of sickness from the other stuff, but would it still be there or would it have also have been subject to Food Exodus?

Also, Zack came in with some military ration packs and jerky sticks that are still in his trunk. Would they have stayed or are they also gone and he doesn't have that option anymore?

Or can she hear it very vaguely (like back home) and towards the end of the months it becomes more clear and agonizing/traumatizing for her?

MINI-PLOT FOR THOSE STAYING IN THE TOWER, MAYBE?

SO basically Xion has a sort of property where she absorbs memories of others. Normally this only latches onto two people - Roxas and Sora (or three in the tower, including her AU self).

TO GIVE SOME BACKGROUND - for the first few months here her programming was adjusting to new environment and etc and therefore wasn't doing anything. This changed a little with her sleep coma back in March/April. It began searching for someone to latch onto, and finally settled on her AU self a couple weeks ago. This is part of a larger player plot that will climax in mid-July and I'll post more info about that when certain details that are up in the air are hammered out. But that's far in the future.

THIS MONTH:

Around the end of the month, Xion's memory-absorbing properties will be going so far out of control, she will be absorbing memories from random passers-by. This does actually happen in canon, as seen here.

This plot is entirely OPT-IN. Here's what you might expect for your character, should you want to participate.

• Your character will experience a fairly significant headache, increasing in severity until it suddenly vanishes
  
• During this headache, a memory or two - will be "absorbed" by Xion
  
• Generally the memory will be something fairly significant, but I'll leave it up to you
  
• The memory(memories) itself(themselves) will be either vague/hazy or completely gone, until Xion releases the memories she's absorbed, when she dies in mid-July.
  
• Unless they know who/what she is, can sense memories/energies and their movement, or they can actually see her reacting during the process, they will likely not realize that she is the cause of what's going on.
  
• Xion will see/hear any memories as they're absorbed, though how much sense she'll be able to make of them at the time is up in the air - she'll be experiencing a pretty debilitating migraine herself, in some cases bad enough she'll pass out afterwards.

Canon is vague on a lot of this scene - even the novels can be confusing though it does confirm that Xion was absorbing Riku's memory. So a lot of this plot is going to be educated guesswork based on what we do know. So PLEASE let me know if you have any questions or see any problems.

Beyond that... Is anybody interested in this?

SERIOUS SKYWARD SWORD SPOILERS HERE I'M NOT JOKING IF YOU DON'T LOOK AWAY YOU WILL BE ENTIRELY SPOILED FOR THE GAME.

Ghirahim is a Demonic Sword Spirit who has several forms. The one we know most is his most humanlike form, but even at its base it's... very much anything but. His powers are varied and have a wide range:

♦ He can summon swords (rapiers, a huge fuck-off Claymore type thing as seen here only without the holes, a shitload of small daggers, pretty much infinitely)
♦ He can create walls, platforms, move things, etc.
♦ He can use his magic to do just about anything to manipulate his physical environment or things in it--teleportation of himself or others, moving things, so on. It's VERY MALLEABLE, so if you would like to experiment, it is possible!
♦ He has physical brute strength/endurance that is RIDICULOUS.
♦ He can't even bleed, yo
♦ He can only be killed by The Master Sword™
♦ He has two phases to his final form: the human one, an in-between wherein black lines/parts of his body become ten times stronger/too tough to even dent, and then his final form, which is completely impenetrable sans the diamond in his chest, which is protected unless he is weakened.
♦ The integrity of his larger sword depends on his OWN health, but he can repair it and any other blade as well as himself, given enough time.
♦ He is capable of turning into a sword himself and being reduced to a mostly nonphysical "Spirit" form. It has all the abilities the Master Sword has but is larger and stronger. He decides who wields it.

All this out of the way, it is likely he will be going completely psycho soon, incapable of keeping his very thin layer of unbridled rage and insecurity together--of which Ghirahim has... well, a lot. He is a psychopath and will murder anyone in his path like a rampaging demon until he is either stopped by someone or tires or reverts to his other forms and is completely incapable of using his abilities. The only way he can be stopped will be a shitload of force or by a Link.

As his powers go out of control it's very likely he will go with them and just let it go due to being tired of dealing with the shit. When that happens he will probably end up incapable of maintaining even a semblance of a human form and it's likely anyone around him will end up dead or horribly injured.

NUCLEAR REACTOR EXPLOSION PLOT & Decent Food

You read that title right. Doc has been working on a Home Energy Nuclear Reactor. Originally it was with the intent to power up his "lab" (and ultimately a Delorean), but with the current events he's gonna try and use it to power up the tower- Well to start he'll try with only one floor.

Except it's gonna go wrong and the reactor is going to explode- The floor on which it'll explode will be irradiated until the end of the month. We're not sure on which floor it will happen just yet, it may be the 5th Floor or the Research Library. The damaged floor will become dangerous, we're not sure yet about the floors around but Doc will advise people to stay away from them.

Nuclear Plot
Plot-wise, Doc cannot do that alone. Marty will assist him, but he'll need more help from more people. The purpose of the mission is to restore power to the tower, so that's for all intent and purpose something good. He'll need help to:

1) Secure the floors in-before the experiment. It's nuclear stuff, he'll want everyone away from the surrounding floors before his attempt to power up a floor.

2) Set up the home reactor. It's a very complicated task and he has only two hands- Marty will help him but he'll need more people to assist him. All those assisting him risk at best to be irradiated, at worst to die.

3) Secure the floors after the experiment. It's to say the irradiated floor, and to be safe the floor above and the floor below. He'll finish & provide special suit to protect from radiation, but only two such suits will exist.

So... anyone up for this plot and help Doc?

Lab & Food
On Marty's advises, his lab will be relocated to the 38th floor (where the party happened) as well as all of his machines for the duration of the event. He'll let a note about it on the workshop and will tell anyone he knows.

The pancake maker's hotplate will be used to cook other food, given people come with their ingredient so on the 38th Floor you'll find:

- Pancakes
- Coffee
- The necessary tools to cook your own meal provided you come with your own ingredients.

Because Doc will be busy with the Nuclear Plot and its consequences, the lab and all its stuff will be handled mostly by Marty, I think. they will still create stuff for you, it'll just be much longer and of lesser quality due to the condition. And as time pas, there will be less and less pancakes and coffee as synthesizing the necessary ingredient will take more time.

Tower Takeover / Mafia Plot

The Tower falls apart, those in charges are busy elsewhere, the Hero of Time and the Princess are out, the Fellowship's Council is delayed, the systems do not work any more, the monsters are on the loose- As far as Ganondorf is concerned, this is the perfect moment to strike and take over.

So, what's going to happen? Ganondorf becomes the self-proclaimed Dark Lord of Animus, yup.

- Animus' Mafia
Pretty much what it implies, Ganon's going to set-up a Mafia-like network in the tower. You need those monsters taken care of? Alright, he will take care of it. Need some decent food? He can find it. Need that one person to respect you? It can be arranged. Simply need protection? Someone's on the job.

But some day, and that day may never come, he will call upon you to do a service for him. But until that day, consider those services as gifts from the Dark Lord of Animus.


- Mafia Enrollment
Because of course, Ganondorf will accept to have more people work for him, in exchange for whatever it is they need. So if you want to enrole in the powerful and rising organization, that's where to go. Whether you're good or evil- It's chaos in the tower after all.

And for those out there who are unaffiliated? He may make them an offer they can't refuse.


- Taking Over the Control Room
And this part will most likely happen during the third week, when most of Ganon's true powers will be unlocked without even needing to rely on the Triforce- He'll try to access the control room and take over the Tower's Systems. Since most of those in charges are busy, it has a fair chance of success.

Okay, we all know it's doomed to fail and this will end horribly, BUT. That's probably the one and best chance they'll ever have of taking over the tower, so why not try?

Even those who do not like Ganondorf would be welcome to join in the takeover. It's to say, even those not in his mafia organization and even those against him- If only to finally free the Tower from guys like Jason... And to prevent Ganondorf from effectively becoming the tower's new administrator.


So- Anyone interested in this?

Haha, you already know that even though Fado's not much of a fighter, he's going to be sticking his nose in this bad Mafia business and trying to stop Ganondorf from taking over. If he does make him ~an offer~ though, he might....."help" Ganondorf while also quietly talking to other people that are still left in the tower and telling them that he's a crazy mofo and getting them on his side for when Ganondorf inevitably goes Triforce of Power villain on everybody.

So either way he's going to be all up in your business ruining your takeover plots.

Naoki|Demi Fiend knows all about survival in a harsh environment. You know, when your entire world was destroyed and Toyko was turned into a wasteland. He could be your last beacon of hope for the entire month since he would go out of his way in helping others out, he's about everyone having the freedom of choice.

He is not about survival of the fittest, in fact that kinda pisses him off (he had a friend who believed that, you see and he rejected her Reason) So he doesn't want thanks, just...no double crossing him. Seriously. He's already had it with his friends doing that.

Since Lucifer's going into the event, he will be cranky too and angry at the Tower in general. So yeah! Who would be interested in;

Hojo here is going to be remaining in the tower. Since people's powers are going to be fluctuating and the collars aren't working properly, and Hojo is chock-full of powerful, unstable, mutagenic cells, I thought it would be interesting to have Hojo mutate into his other forms at times throughout the month, without the collar's stabilizing influence.

His other forms are:
A. Helletic Hojo
B. Lifeform-Hojo N

He'll be fairly dangerous, but also completely out of his mind and easy to avoid--anyone who might like to have a run-in with him or plot something with this, let me know.

Additional miniplot nonsense!

Okay, so while all you guys kill and attack each other over hunting down meals and powerplays and all that, there's going to be an epic, self-sufficient duo of Kohaku and Jay hanging out together. Jay, specifically, has a surplus of food from his trunk that he will be keeping to himself and Koha. As his magic will be gone by the end of the month, people are more than welcome to try and rob them!

Also, Kohaku has a special ability detailed here that would theoretically be a serious boon during this event to anyone who finds out about it, because they would get a power and energy increase. Jay's going to be protecting her for this very reason, so if you want to get to her, you'll have to get through the stabby ninja brat.

tl;dr if you kill Jay, then you get food and also more power~ But you have to find them first, as they'll be on the move for most of the month.

Okay, so for those familiar with Japanese mythology, you know that Izanami is a death goddess. For those familiar with P4, you know what she can do. For those unfamiliar, well... I think you see where this is going.

With powers going out of control, death will follow her. Essentially? Being near her might kill you. With weird, creepy shadow-hands that she'll no longer be able to control. This also means, while she will be able to hold her human form (just because her other forms won't fit), she may fluctuate between Izanami and the Gas Station Attendant. As well, Izanami will, over the course of the month, end up slipping--her form will begin to show the decay it's been through. Because she's been hiding it this entire time.

SO. If anyone wants to have a friendly conversation near the end of the month, or sooner as her powers begin to slip, and notice either of these two, you're free to. As well as those willing to die and make her feel terrible.

As a note, the Attendant is taller and broader, appearing as a man instead of a woman. This is noticeable.

Infirmary - for those still in the tower

Not quite a plot in its own right but something that will probably link with all the other plots. Since there are gonna be a lot of injured people around, and dying brings you back still broken, and there are no workers in the infirmary... Shion knows some medicine (limited, he has very little experiance but... he knew how to remove a bullet and treat a bullet wound at the age of twelve...) He also is very aware of how useless he is at fighting, and so will try to help where he can.

He will be aware of the need for someone to help the injured early on and will probably try and get the infirmary as workable as possible. So if anyone other characters are good at medicalness, or would just like to help, we should get them together and organized so that when things like nuclear reactors blowing up happens they at least have some base to work from.

Plotting - aka explosions and rage

Okay, so. He's new here in the tower, so Fou-Lu will be staying here in the tower for the month.

... But with powers going haywire this is a bit of a problem.

You see, Fou-Lu is a dragon god. An incredibly powerful one, in fact - he's his game's endboss. He has insane amounts of strength, speed, defense, magic...

And transformations. Did I mention those? Yeah. Fou-Lu can transform into various dragon forms, including Tyrant - his penultimate form (minus his true form that only shows up in the bad ending).

Basically who wants to encounter a rampaging dragon? Mami you're not allowed he's going to just end up hurting you alsdkfs.

I'll link boss battle/transformation videos later (when I'm not sneaking tags from work) but please be informed that there is a very good chance your character can be hurt/injured/killed if they are not the equivalent of endgame in their canon. (This is one of the reasons why I have a permissions post for him which I would appreciate people filling out, especially if you want to encounter him in this state.)

This is a minor point, but if you want to say that Willow gave your character a homemade flashlight, you're welcome to!

I would just make an IC post about this, but I'm feeling a bit burnt out on RP lately so I'm taking the easy way out. Canonly she does all sorts of computer/robotics repair, so I think a flashlight is well within her abilities, and she would be happy to give one to any random Joe she comes across. So just reply here with if you'd like her to give you one, and I'll remember to assume they met sometime and she handed one over.

(Note: she is not a factory and is limited by what supplies she can find, so she won't be able to make a whole ton of these.)

So. Powers are going haywire in the tower near the end of the month? That's going to prove very bad for Itachi, whose powers are very strong and very deadly.

These powers include, but are not limited to, the ability to make virtually inextinguishable, incredibly hot black flames appear wherever he's looking and the ability to trap someone in a nightmare world simply by looking into their eyes for a split second. Refer to his app for a more detailed explanation if you're unfamiliar with them.

In short, who wants to get burned/mindfucked/drowned/just generally bombarded with high-level ninja techniques near the end of the month? Note that these techniques will likely result in death or in your character being incapacitated for a period of time.

If you want your character to be mindfucked, feel free to let me know how bad you want it to be. Because Itachi doesn't instinctively know what a character fears or dislikes, any mental torment will be of the generalized variety (strung up and stabbed repeatedly, turned thin as paper and then burned, etc.). If a character is trapped in Tsukiyomi, they will fall unconscious for a while (anywhere from a few hours to a few days).

He'll likely seclude himself in some rarely-used corner of the tower once he figures out what's happening, so if you want to be involved in something like this, approach him sooner rather than later! Or stumble upon him after he holes up somewhere; either way works.
