Event: Collar Swap

Throughout the course of the day, certain characters may be called to the infirmary for emergency collar maintainence. They will go through a the standard collar checkup procedure, except in this case the liquid that is filtered into the collar will be a different color than the one they had previously. Upon leaving the infirmary, things will begin to happen to your character, depending on how far up (toward violet) or down (toward orange) their collars have moved.

You're barely able to control your body--it feels as if you're locked inside it. Any special abilities you may have do not work.

You feel painfully restricted, and have trouble moving around in your body. Any special abilities you may have do not work.

+3
You feel as if you're being made to carry heavy weights everywhere. Any special abilities you may have are all but useless, only barely working.

+2
You feel as if something is pressing down on you. Any special abilities you may have are much weaker than usual.

+1
You feel slightly weighted down. Any special abilities you may have are slightly weaker than usual.

-1
You feel just a little lightheaded. Any special abilities you may have are slightly stronger than usual.

-2
You feel very lightheaded. Any special abilities you may have begin activating and deactivating on their own--for the most part you can control them, but not always.

-3
You feel extremely lightheaded. Any special abilities you may have are almost entirely out of your control, working at random most of the time.

-4
You feel numb--there is no feeling at all in your body. Any special abilities you may have are entirely out of your control, doing as they please.

-5
You feel completely disconnected from your body; it feels more like you're piloting someone else's body via a remote control rather than controlling your own. Any special abilities you may have are entirely out of your control.

These effects will last until you are called back to the infirmary for more emergency maintainence, which may happen at any point during the week. The latest characters will be effected is the 16th; all collars will be returned to their previous state by the end of that day.

This is open to everyone! The + or - effects depend on how much your collar was moved up or down to. For example, someone with an orange collar ending up with a violet one would have a +5 effect, and someone with a violet collar being switched to an orange one would have a -5 effect. You're free to pick the color your character gets switched to.

MM!Link has magic power, but he can't do anything with it unless he's using specific items. How would he be affected?

The magic may force its way out in a more raw form, and his items may activate on their own.

It could be something like raw energy, or it could just be that it would be the equivalent of his magic bar just draining on its own.

Second question! Out of curiousity...

What would happen to characters who don't have powers, even secret/potential ones?

AND ANOTHER.

One of Link's masks lets him hear the thoughts of animals. If he went to go "speak" with the monsters/animals in the Tower, what would he hear?

Characters who don't have powers would just be effected by the lightness/heaviness part of the collar swap.

He wouldn't get anything from the monsters and animals in the Tower, though it's unclear if this is due to the Tower interfering or because the monsters are mindless.

If a character's powers are normally only capable of affecting certain people (by which I mean like how Naminé's powers work on 'Sora and those around him' - which apparently means his associates in general and those otherwise connected to him), would the strengthening of said abilities allow them to effect people they normally wouldn't?

Does "special abilites" only refer to supernatural or otherworldly powers, or does it extend to human abilities (like, say, being great at knitting, or rocket science, or playing the guitar)?

Only supernatural abilities count for the collar.

...If your ultimate Persona is a god of creation, would it be the Wild Card ability that goes out of his control, or is there a possibility that he could get possessed by said god?
I ask because of what Izanagi-no-Ookami says when you create him through fusion.

I have a clarification question, if that's ok: someone with say, a green collar wouldn't have very far up or down to go, right? Since as green, you can only go -3 to orange, and +3 to violet. I'm figuring the colors wouldn't loop back around of course, but yes; that means they can't go past -/+ 3?

Right, you can only go as high or low as your original color allows.

Alrighty, and another question - if someone's superhuman strength were to go out of control due to this event, would they be able to break the walls and things of the tower? With exception of NPC only areas, of course - I'm speaking dorm or cafeteria areas.

The Tower basic structure remains impervious--that is, they cannot break walls, ceilings, floors, windows, or the stairs/elevator.

but Molly's power is more... biological since it's a mutation or did you mean supernatural to us, I just now considered that so yeah, where does she fall.

and I don't think you answered this already but say your collar is orange, can you still go into negative effects or do you have to go positive?

I should have been more clear there, by supernatural I meant superhuman--anything no human could possibly do, pretty much.

You can't go into negatives if you have an orange collar (likewise, you can't go into positives with a violet one).

The announcements will be ICly made over a loudspeaker, so characters will be aware of others going to the infirmary.

What's the collar color order from lowest color to highest? I want to list this somewhere myself so I can get an idea of where my characters stand/could go, but I feel like I'd forget something (I always forget something.)

IS THAT POSSIBLY A THING YOU GUYS COULD TELL US? I don't remember seeing a direct list of colors anywhere...

So, this Riku doesn't have as much darkness as his canon counterpart, but there have been cases where he's had to tap into it; it's there, but largely exists as untapped potential due to his choices and growth in his AU.

Could it be possible for some of this darkness to flare up if I went -3?

Okay, so. Part of Aradia's powerset is that she can create doomed clones of herself. Will the clones all also be affected by the collar swap, despite when they're pulled from, or would they have normal control over their powers if they were pulled from a point before the visit to the infirmary?

Due his canon point, Riku carries Xehanort's Heartless within his Heart - he's dormant, but there nevertheless. Thanks to the first sets of Ansem Reports, we know that the Heartless has retained his memories prior to becoming a Heartless (arriving in Radiant Garden, becoming an apprentice to Ansem the Wise, ect).

With Naminé's and Riku's own powers going haywire, would it be possible for those memories to shuffle forward, leaving Riku believing himself to be Xehanort in his apprentice days?

Also! Minami still technically has the Shadow of Death inside her. Would it be possible for it to go out of control? If this happens it's entirely possible Minami might slowly die since it was put in her to keep her alive in the first place.

It's more idly musing with the idea than anything concrete right now. I won't have a definite idea of what I'm going to do with her until tonight?
