Event: Labyrinth; Instructions
The details for the Labyrinth game are as follows--note that you still have time to sign up. Those who signed up as participants will be placed in the Labyrinth in different areas, and each will be followed by cameras. The activity in the Labyrinth will be broadcast in the media room and will also be able to be seen on any network-capable terminal if the character wishes to bring up the video. Characters who have listed their fears will be able to participate even if they are not in the Labyrinth itself by sponsoring various characters inside it, giving them various perks in exchange for a fee. If you'd like, you can also bet on which one will win.
This is not the event start post, these are simply instructions to aid in plotting.
Instructions for Characters Inside the Labyrinth
Characters will be placed in the labyrinth in a certain ring and quadrant as displayed here. The quadrants do not have any IC separation; the rings can be told apart by the color displaying on their walls (note that the color in the image is not necessarily the color of the ring, these colors are simply used to define the different rings). They will be provided with their weapon (guns are not allowed, but Evokers do not count as guns and can be brought into the Labyrinth) and a small backpack containing water and small food bars. There are just enough food bars for a character to have one a day: this will prevent you from starving but will not keep you from being hungry. Of course you can steal food and water from others if you wish.
The rings have different power restrictions based on what color they are: powers will be available to characters who have the same collar color or lower than the color displayed on the walls. For example, if the ring is violet, all characters can access their powers. If the ring is yellow, characters with orange and yellow collars can access their powers. If the ring is red, no powers can be used within that ring. Powers are defined as anything a normal human from Earth could not ever do--running with the speed of an Olympic runner is not a power, but running at the speed of sound is. The rings will change colors occasionally; this will be noted when it happens.
Extra weapons can be found in the center open area of the labyrinth in a pile. These range from simple clubs to more deadly crossbows or swords. There are no guns. If your character has no weapon (or if their weapon was a gun which was taken away), they will be provided with a randomly selected one. There is a subthread in this post where you can request a randomized weapon. If a character has a gun taken away they will receive a randomized weapon even if they have an additional weapon.
Aside from these restrictions you are mostly left to your own devices for the week. If you receive something from a character outside of the labyrinth it will drop out of the wall in front of you in a small container.
Instructions for Characters Outside the Labyrinth
Characters who have listed their fears may actively participate in betting or aiding one or more people within the Labyrinth. Note that each action will come with a punishment for your characters--the fees will be listed as "low", "medium", or "high" ICly, however, and they will not know the specifics until the punishment is exacted against them.
Betting
You may only place a bet once--simply pick the character you think will win (they're all helpfully listed) and click "bet". If you win you will receive a reward that will depend on the number of people who bet against you; if you lose you will receive a high-level punishment.
Sponsoring
Sponsoring a character is as easy as selecting an option out of a menu and then selecting which character will benefit from it. These are divided into low, medium, and high prices.
Low:
-give one extra food bar
-give one bottle of water
-provide bandages
Medium:
-provide healing balm (this salve speeds healing; most wounds will be gone by the end of the day when treated)
-warn character of another incoming character
-provide proper meal
High:
-inform character of the exact location of another character for ten minutes
-activate a character's powers for one day
-provide healing (this will instantly heal one major wound and can fix anything except death)
Punishments
The first punishment is from dying while in the Labyrinth. Anyone who dies inside the Labyrinth will revive in a room where they will be tormented with their listed fear for the remainder of the plot's duration. The specifics will be explained by a moderator when informed of their death.
The next punishments are those taken as fees for aiding the competitors. If you bet on a character and they lose, you will lose any abilities you had for one week upon the completion of the game and will be tormented with your worst fear whenever you sleep as if you were really there with it.
For those sponsoring, a low level punishment are awful but vague nightmares lasting one night for every time you sponsor someone. The medium level punishment is the halving of your abilities and nightmares about your greatest fears, one night for every sponsorship at this level. The high level punishment are the complete loss of your abilities and being tormented with your worst fear whenever you sleep in much more realistic detail than a dream.
ICly characters will not know about the details of the punishments until they are taken out on them.
Feel free to use this post for plotting as well as asking questions and signing up for weapon randomization (just make sure you ask questions and request randomization under the right threads).

Re: QUESTIONS
Re: QUESTIONS
Do characters have matches or will they just be randomly wandering around and bumping into each other? Or... when you guys put the post up for that IC are you going to organize it? :|a
I'd just like to know.
OH RIGHT also Minato carries a pistol with him (since his Evoker isn't really... a gun...), though he does have a smallish one-handed sword he keeps with him. Should I just assume he has no gun, or will he be getting the sword as a replacement instead, or will he get a randomized weapon and I should go comment on that thread? :o

Also, the character's power are cancelled in certain area, but does it count for their accessory? Like the Triforce allowing him to turn into a swine, or his swords sparkling with the power to repel goodness. I assume they won't work but I prefer to be sure.
Oh and, can a character have many sponsor, or is it limited to one?

Also I know sponsoring multiple people is allowed, but are there any other stipulations? Like only one person a day, or something like that?
Sorry for all the questions orz

Issun's kind of smaller than a thumbnail; is he going to be sized up for the battle royale?
If so, will his abilities grow to match?
If not, is he going to be given tiny food bars and a tiny water bottles? 8D

FIRST PLOTTING POST
MY QUESTION TO EVERYONE IS:
If you want your character to die, would you like them to be bludgeoned to death by a homocidal alien clown?
He is going to be a part of a doomed-to-fail resistance faction headed by the Dolorosa (
If you want to be a part of the resistance group or if you want to be fatally beaten, King and I are open to all of the plotting~! Let us know here. C:

Operation: Tear Shit Up
At some point, I don't know when yet, she'll probably try to lead an attempt at busting into the closed off parts of the Tower in hopes of reaching the labyrinth and helping people escape. It'll fail, of course, but hey, might as well try.
That said, who, if anyone, would like to join her? There's been a bit of discussion on plurk, but idk, having a post here feels more permanent.

Plotty things
So far Shion is teaming up with Dave, losing Dave and finding Ventus (AU) on the first day, and being killed by Ventus on the second sometime late afternoon. So anyone who wants to clash with him and Dave, or him and Ventus or meet him when he's alone and lost and wandering!
So far Suzaku is teaming up with Riku, and then at some point joining the resistance. He's going to fight with Gamzee later in the week. Pretty much after day 1 his Geass which forces him to keep living will be active all the time (unless he ends up in right 3 or 4 on day 2 or ring 4 on day 3.) So anyone wanting to clash with him/be killed with him/team up with him are welcome!
AIM is Jipaltara and Plurk is damua if you want to plot there!

So, does anyone want to either ally themselves with or get killed by a space and mind warping shapeshifting ghost with more laser beams and status ailment attacks than you can shake a stick at?
