Hey there Tower of Animus!

My name is James, and while I'm not new to DWRP I am new around these parts. Along with me I bring this fine, upstanding young boy/man/woman is Louis Cyphre, A.K.A. Louisa Ferra, A.K.A. Lucifer, Lord of Demons and head of the Chaos Faction from the Shin Megami Tensei series of video games. Specifically, Lucifer will be coming in from the True Neutral ending for Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.

Being the fucking devil, Lucifer is kind of what you would expect in that he's a proud, ruthless asshole. But hey, sometimes he's a chummy and helpful proud, ruthless asshole so that kind of pans out some. Right? Maybe? Okay.

Also, considering how big a player Lucifer is in the SMT/Persona/Amala Network Universe games, I'm curious if it would be alright with any of those players if Lucifer recognized/knew who they were. I'll be putting up a more specific permissions post for Lucifer later this week, but for now I just want to make sure boundaries wouldn't be crossed with Lucifer knowing the identities/about the Persona/SMT characters here, as it would really just be for his own personal reference to know anyway.

Nice to meet you! And man, Lucifer is not a big fan of your father, Rin. Yes in his canon Lucifer and Satan are two separate demons it's complicated.

So alright there are two main opposing forces in Shin Megami Tensei: Law and Chaos. Law is the side of YHVH/God, who wishes to impose a uniform state of existence on the world. Unmoving, unchanging, and always going how He wishes it to. Lucifer is the leader of Chaos, who represent freedom and war and wish to create a world where man and demonkind can live together in equality. It's equality formed by creating a world where the strongest rule and crush the weak and thus a brutal meritocracy, but hey thems the breaks.

So Satan actually still works for God and is essentially the demon who will judge mankind and demons and destroy them all if it be God's will. Needless to say Lucifer kind of hates that shit even more than most of the shit the angels pull so he and Satan aren't exactly on the best terms.

That is awesome!! I wouldn't have thought they'd separate Lucifer and Satan in that way, but it is an interesting split nonetheless~. In Blue Exorcist, Satan's just a mix of the Satan and Lucifer in SMt canon without the Law and Chaos theme. He's also sort of ... strange. Thank you for taking the time to explain it! :D

Hey! I'm Matt, and I play two SMT kids and a tanuki.

That is, I play AU!Ken Amada, AU!Ryoji, and OU!Taro. ... Taro is an OC. He will flip if he finds out who Lucifer is - he kind of has a legitimate reason to be suspicious of gods and things like that.

As for Ken and Ryoji, go ahead and recognize them. :D Ryoji does still have lingering bits of Death stuck to him despite being the Seal so I imagine Lucifer would be able to pick up on that. Ken on the other hand still has Nemesis. :T

vatheon, actually! I don't know if you've heard of it or not, but that was before its Dreamwidth days.

I played him from Neutral Route, too, just before fighting Chiaki since that was where I was at my game at the time. I didn't stay with him for more than like, half a year or something, but he was a ton of fun.

I also have this star-god SMT nearly-an-overgod as well. :|a And considering maxing Alcor's link gets you access to Lucifer-the-demon, and since he has contacts that allow him to mess with demons and control them to a point, and also how he is "the chaotic alignment that is trying to stop a lawful thing from wiping out humanity"

I am gonna go out on a limb and assume he mutually knows and is pretty well acquainted with Lucifer. Or, at least, some aspect of him (since SMT is complicated and augh) BUT IF THIS IS NOT OKAY THAT'S FINE he's already been confused by Nyarlathotep and Philemon's baser parts, he can handle it.

He just might miss being bros with Lucy

HEY GAA IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU! And the way I play Lucifer I generally see him as one of the "big boys" of the series and knowing quite a bit about the majority of the worlds even outside the mainline SMT games, with Persona as the one he has the weakest connection to. Needless to say he knows who Alcor is and would actually probably kind of like him, which is an honor as far as most people should be concerned at least in Lucifer's mind.
