event suggestion follow-up!

All right! So, it looks like there is some interest in having a monster outbreak event! Let’s make things official by having sign-ups! Does anyone have a preference for when the event takes place? I was thinking the middle of next week, but we could push it back if that’s too soon.

Oh, and try not to cause too much damage to the tower itself, okay? Just focus rage on the monsters. We don’t wanna get our powers sealed or anything.

Do you guys want to log this all out, hand wave it? Flood the network with posts? Please send in your feedback!

Since we don’t have enough villains, we’re probably gonna need some monsters from our lovely bestiary. The more vicious, the better.

For any monsters that aren’t listed in the bestiary, we have to ask the mods for permission to use them. I would love to throw in random monsters… *plays way too many RPGs*

We should always use chaos and destruction as an excuse to make new friends. Or enemies! Because eternal peace is just too boring and unrealistic.

Hm, at this point, Elian can at least create a network between characters should they become separated. How this works is exactly as it sounds. If any character has an electronic device on them, he'll act as the hub, or tower between the devices and he can relay that information back and forth as long as the device has power going to it.

With iPods, the message comes through as a text. If there are devices that have no screen, the message comes through as the voice of the sender, the possibilities are pretty much limitless.

There is a drawback to this. If Elian is acting the hub, he can't fight so this means that he'll either have to be well hidden or defended. I'm thinking of hiding him because then it wouldn't take away from the characters that are fighting to be rid of the roaming monsters.

Characters can also request he "reforms" a device to act as a cellphone as well. There is a major drawback to this. The device will be destroyed if he's killed. As long as he remains alive, the devices he recreates can remain working indefinitely.

Um...there was something else I needed to add to this but I can't think of it at the moment.

OH! Now I remember. Elian also has the ability to track people. So, if a character has someone that they got separated from, he can search for them as long as he has an idea of what he's looking for. He won't be able to give an exact location if he doesn't know them or have their bio-signatures in his "files", but he can at least let the person know if they are alive or not.

I'm more than willing to plot these things out here, if you would like. :D

Wireless networks are not allowed within the tower--cell phones and the like have all capabilities removed, and any powers that could be used to create a wireless network will fail in regards to making said network.
