Event: Trick or Treat; Part One

Over the next few days, characters may wake up to a bit of a surprise--instead of whatever they went to sleep in, they'll find themselves in costumes of all sorts. Either sitting on top of the trunk at the foot of their beds or, if they participated in the Hitori Kakurenbo event in February, in the laps of the teddy bears, is a plastic pumpkin with a note taped to the front:

Collect candy, or else!

Characters will find there appears to be candy scattered everywhere right now, hidden in corners and showering down after monsters are killed. So at least this week, while everyone is getting used to it, there isn't any shortage of candy, which is good: the longer you go without fulfilling the collected candy quota for the day, the tighter and more painful (even if you're inorganic) your costume becomes. If you do not collect the full quota for the day, your torso will be crushed entirely by your costume. And when you wake up, you'll come back--wrong. Warped and twisted with a more realistic version of whatever you were dressed up as now taking the place of parts of your body, you'll behave as a darker version of whatever the costume you were wearing was. And while you can resist it now, it will get more and more difficult to fight the urge to act like the costume that killed you as the month wears on...

Players will have until 11:59PM EST October 13 to sign their characters up for this. Characters may wake up with a costume at any time between now and then, and will be expected to fill the candy quota for the day they are currently on. There is no shortage of candy this week only.

To count toward the candy quota, the candy must be inside the plastic pumpkin and not consumed. Eating a piece of candy will temporarily revert the costume's tightness to normal for one hour, but after an hour it will revert back and tighten more to make up for the one hour lost (unless you meet the quota before then).

REMINDER: Characters must be an expy (Catwoman would be Felinewoman, think cheap knockoff costume) OR generic costume OR dresssed as someone from the tower.

Can another character gather candy for someone who's incapable of doing it themselves?

Similar to the above - if it's already been put in one character's basket, would taking it out and transfering it to another be alright, or would it not count to the other's? That's not to say 'would it count towards both', just the person who's receiving it.

Oh, got another one for you. Lambda will probably try to get her quota by magic-ing up some candy - would this actually count or not?

What if you're horribly indecisive and can't choose between two costumes...........................

What will happen to the costumes if our characters are shapeshifters? Like, Bern here turns into a cat a lot, and Remilia can turn into a bat. Would the costume shrink with them in this form, would their shapeshifting just be blocked completely...?

IE: if they're wearing a skirt/dress can they wear their pants underneath or wear a cape over it.

Ken's a fan of Phoenix Ranger Featherman R in canon (which itself is an expy/shoutout/reference to Chojin Sentai Jetman). Is it okay if he dresses up as someone from that show?

1: Can a character be dressed up as someone else from their own canon?

2: Can a character be dressed up as an alternate form of themselves if it would indeed behave differently/darker? (I'm thinking Dark Enoch...)

EDIT: If yes to 2, can the Dark armor replace Enoch's normal armor power? (making the "baseline" that blue bodysuit beneath?) That way he can't really escape it. :3 It'd...essentially be like the player chose the Dark Enoch costume in a NG+ (of course, the tower could play with this as it wished, if yes to 2, that is)

If the costume comes with, oh, a myriad of weapons with it - does the character get those weapons?

Two questions, one of them...probably kind of dumb, BUT.

1) If we've yet to intro our character, can they wake up in the Halloween costume, or is the white skin-tight suit an ALWAYS, NO MATTER WHAT sort of thing?

2) Will candy read as "treasure" if Rise does a scan with Kanzeon? Or does it even show up at all?

Since I was considering having Chidori be The Sugarplum Fairy from the 'Cabin In the Woods' movie and she canonically has what I presume would be crazy scary powers, would Chidori be able to use them if she died and came back wrong? Like say- the more she dies, the stronger the costumes 'powers' would become?

What if a character tries to remove one of the accessories to a costume, like a mask or a hat? Would they just be unable to get it off, or would it appear back on their heads after a while?

How realistic to the original depicted character/creature is the costume?

For example, one of the Persona users is dressed as their Persona. Said Persona has floating coffin-things. Would the costume also having floating coffins or would they just be held up with backing support?

I'm ASSUMING the latter--if that's right, then would it would get more "realistic" if they died and didn't meet the candy quota? Like they'd come back the next day and suddenly it's no longer held up by fake!supports, the coffins are actually real and floating?

Question! How much of the fourth wall can we break with costumes? Meaning, say, can characters dress up as movie characters that aren't in the tower?

They could dress up as expies of movie characters. Troll Indiana Jones can become Troll Ohio Smith or something.
