Event: Trick or Treat; Part One

Over the next few days, characters may wake up to a bit of a surprise--instead of whatever they went to sleep in, they'll find themselves in costumes of all sorts. Either sitting on top of the trunk at the foot of their beds or, if they participated in the Hitori Kakurenbo event in February, in the laps of the teddy bears, is a plastic pumpkin with a note taped to the front:

Collect candy, or else!

Characters will find there appears to be candy scattered everywhere right now, hidden in corners and showering down after monsters are killed. So at least this week, while everyone is getting used to it, there isn't any shortage of candy, which is good: the longer you go without fulfilling the collected candy quota for the day, the tighter and more painful (even if you're inorganic) your costume becomes. If you do not collect the full quota for the day, your torso will be crushed entirely by your costume. And when you wake up, you'll come back--wrong. Warped and twisted with a more realistic version of whatever you were dressed up as now taking the place of parts of your body, you'll behave as a darker version of whatever the costume you were wearing was. And while you can resist it now, it will get more and more difficult to fight the urge to act like the costume that killed you as the month wears on...

Players will have until 11:59PM EST October 13 to sign their characters up for this. Characters may wake up with a costume at any time between now and then, and will be expected to fill the candy quota for the day they are currently on. There is no shortage of candy this week only.

To count toward the candy quota, the candy must be inside the plastic pumpkin and not consumed. Eating a piece of candy will temporarily revert the costume's tightness to normal for one hour, but after an hour it will revert back and tighten more to make up for the one hour lost (unless you meet the quota before then).

REMINDER: Characters must be an expy (Catwoman would be Felinewoman, think cheap knockoff costume) OR generic costume OR dresssed as someone from the tower.

Minato's legs will have been replaced with the metal ones of Orpheus upon waking. A lyre has been embedded into his back; he can remove it if he wishes, and the large gash it left in his back will be visible.

Minato will have the urge to go around the Tower singing and playing his lyre. Anyone who listens will begin feeling unhappy, and the longer they listen the more unhappy they will become until they attempt suicide. Minato will be especially drawn to anyone who is already despairing for whatever reason.

Kyuubey will awaken to finding the top hat has been sewn to his head and the suit takes the place of the skin on his body.

Kyuubey will have the urge to offer help to anyone he passes, as any polite gentleman would do--however, he will want to lead anyone who accepts his offer to injury and death. He will also bark occasionally.

Sertoria will find that the costume is her body, and any place where what appears to be skin is showing is simply not there--her torso is a gaping hole that, in spite of being an android, appears to bleed, and her head is torn and mangled beyond recognition.

Sertoria will feel as if she has to eliminate threats in the most efficient manner possible--if it's more efficient to shoot through someone or allow them to be eaten to buy extra time, she won't have issue with that. Her definition of a threat will also be very broad; anyone who brandishes a weapon, even at a monster, will be classified as a threat. She will not view the others crushed by their costumes as threats.

Hakuno's costume will be torn and mangled, as if she'd been chewed on by something. The red sash remains immaculate, but that's the only part that isn't nearly gone. The shoes of the costume have been sewn onto her feet.

Hakuno will appear as if nothing unusual has occurred outside of the physical, but in reality she will attempt to gather information for the others who have been crushed by their costumes; she will want to go around the Tower and see who is unhappy, who is easily manipulated, who is running out of candy, and then report that to any of the others who may be able to use that information.
