animus_ooc | Event: Trick or Treat; Part One

Over the next few days, characters may wake up to a bit of a surprise--instead of whatever they went to sleep in, they'll find themselves in costumes of all sorts. Either sitting on top of the trunk at the foot of their beds or, if they participated in the Hitori Kakurenbo event in February, in the laps of the teddy bears, is a plastic pumpkin with a note taped to the front:

Characters will find there appears to be candy scattered everywhere right now, hidden in corners and showering down after monsters are killed. So at least this week, while everyone is getting used to it, there isn't any shortage of candy, which is good: the longer you go without fulfilling the collected candy quota for the day, the tighter and more painful (even if you're inorganic) your costume becomes. If you do not collect the full quota for the day, your torso will be crushed entirely by your costume. And when you wake up, you'll come back--wrong. Warped and twisted with a more realistic version of whatever you were dressed up as now taking the place of parts of your body, you'll behave as a darker version of whatever the costume you were wearing was. And while you can resist it now, it will get more and more difficult to fight the urge to act like the costume that killed you as the month wears on...

Players will have until 11:59PM EST October 13 to sign their characters up for this. Characters may wake up with a costume at any time between now and then, and will be expected to fill the candy quota for the day they are currently on. There is no shortage of candy this week only.

To count toward the candy quota, the candy must be inside the plastic pumpkin and not consumed. Eating a piece of candy will temporarily revert the costume's tightness to normal for one hour, but after an hour it will revert back and tighten more to make up for the one hour lost (unless you meet the quota before then).

REMINDER: Characters must be an expy (Catwoman would be Felinewoman, think cheap knockoff costume) OR generic costume OR dresssed as someone from the tower.

John is transparent--he can vary from nearly invisible to nearly completely visible, but he can't be completely one or the other either way. There are a multitude of thick iron chains he has to drag around that will slow him down.

John will have the urge to haunt those left alive, scaring them to kill them either directly or indirectly. He can become tangible to pick up items and injure people, although for the most part he is intangible except for his chains. He could, for example, put his intangible arm through someone's head and then make his arm tangible to kill someone. Psychic/mental/magical/ghost-fighting abilities will be the only way to kill him.

The top of Genda's skull has been removed and replaced with a gold crown--looking through the hole will reveal his brain. He is dressed in dripping, bloody fur gown and has a large golden scepter topped in a razor-sharp diamond.

Genda will leave those who fit in with his kingly theme--knights, princesses, and the like--alone except to attempt to order them about, but anyone else will be deemed a threat and he will have the urge to attempt to kill them with his scepter.

Two multicolored barrels have been bloodily sewn to Deity's cheeks, and a plastic toy crown has been half melted onto his head. Feirce Deity's outfit is similar to how it was as a normal costume, except in that it changes colors at a rate that makes anyone who looks at it dizzy and nauseous.

Fierce Deity will have the urge to gather things up into piles--he will be aided in this by the ability to crush anything he wants together as long as he can hold it still long enough to attach it. Of course, the force will kill anything living, but living things feel like the best things to collect.

Jin's entire body will be covered in thick black scars that ooze pus and blood, although aside from being painful the oozing alone won't harm him. He has a supply of scalpels always at hand--that is, he has scalpels shoved all up along his arms to be removed whenever he wants. Most of this is covered by the bloody lab attire.

Jin will have the urge to experiment, and do so surgically--while it's better if they're alive for vivisection, a dissection isn't that bad, either. Taking things apart and putting them back together in interesting ways seems like the most interesting thing in the world. To aid him in this, Jin will know on sight the weak points of anything he looks at, as well as instinctively knowing how everyone's bodies are put together, no matter how strange and inhuman.

There is no difference in the appearance of Sayaka's costume when she wakes up--she has a red blouse with black trim at the collar and the end of her short sleeves and a black dress that shimmers just a little when she moves, along with red and black high heels.

Sayaka will feel, to increasing certainty as the month wears on, that she's going completely insane. Something is trying to tug at the edge of her mind, and attempting to focus on it to identify it causes a piercing sort of headache and intense, nearly unbearable sadness. There seem to be a million voices just out of sight clamoring for attention and she'll constantly feel as if there's something she has to run from. The only way to soothe herself is through playing with the residents of the Tower: stealing candy, maiming them, killing them, doing it all again--it will cause a sort of giggly calm madness that is nonetheless worlds better than the previous emotions.

Sayaka will have no extra abilities granted, except in that she is completely indestructible.

Thiiiis is really a long shot, but is it possible to temporarily disable these urges via Geassing affected people?

It would be possible to eliminate the urges during the first week, but the Geass would become less and less effective as the month wore on until it failed the final week (and of course it would fail right away if Lelouch died).
