End of Year Discussion Post

It's the beginning of the end of the world of 2012, Animus! The game has been open for about eighteen months, and since it's the end of the year, let's have a discussion post. Here's how this is going to work: this post will be divided up into subcategories, and you guys can discuss among yourselves and with us whatever you want about the topic in question. Tell us things you want to see, tell us things you want us to stop doing, tell us things we're doing right if you want!

Please remain civil in your discussions; we will be watching the post and will step in if things get too heated anywhere. Respect each others' opinions even if you don't agree with them. Anonymous commenting is currently enabled, but will be disabled if abused.

The idea of the bulletin board was originally to have an alternative for characters that distrust/dislike the network and/or want to set up meetings orcall out for things in somewhat more private/secure manner.

So yeah... idek, about using it to troll the characters; at least like that. |Da;

Yeah, I get it. It was just a potential use as an author that popped into my head. ^^;

Personally, I'd love a non-network Bulletin Board, especially for characters who can't use the network because they're not from technologically advanced civilizations.

It can be a lot of fun to explore your character learning about using the network! Enoch is from the freaking Bronze Age. For a couple of months he only had video figured out (just messing around with things that were clearly labeled) and didn't know what to do with text or voice.

Not to say wanting a non-network board is infeasible, but I wouldn't be so quick on that "can't". I think one of my favorite posts was one I didn't participate in, Jack Sparrow making wild gestures at a network terminal. XD

Yes... I'm aware that it can be a lot of fun, but there are some who actually, physically can't and others who the player do not want them to learn, so yes, I'm going to be quick on that. Especially when the ones who just don't have experience right out of the gate would be looking for information.

After having three characters out of five I've had in the Tower with no previous network technology experience, I want the option for an alternative.

No need to get defensive, I wasn't saying it shouldn't happen. It just looked more to me like you had overlooked having your characters learning about it, which was a misreading, and I'm sorry about that.

What? I was responding to your issue that I used the word "can't"; I wasn't being defensive, just stating my reasons why I used the terminology I did,

In which case, I misread again! Sorry about that. Excuse the derpery, today's just been odd.
