PLOTTING - Monster Souls

There's been a lot of talk about souls and the notion of reality in the tower--what is there, what isn't, and how that manifests with the soul itself--and it is rather interesting that the monsters are some of the only real constructs around. After offering help for something completely different, Rick has recently come to know that Kid Sephiroth is working on a bestiary, and he'd like to help out further by absorbing a monster's soul so he can shift into it. Shenanigans ensue, and your character(s) can be a part of them if you so choose!

This plot will take place over the course of a week, approximately from August 1st--8th. I hope to split it into two parts:

Part One: The Hunt
Rick will contact Kid Sephiroth a few days after the resolution of the raid on Jason's lab/collar boycott repercussions to posit his idea (the prompt). It will be a locked network post; however, either party could invite close CR or other relevant individuals to help out, and given Rick's history with using filters, we could arrange for technically-minded people to hack the thread and figure out what's going on that way, too. A small group (ten characters at most) will be organized from the volunteers, and a few days later will mobilize at night to hunt down and cripple a monster for Rick to bond with. Since they'll be wading through pretty dangerous areas in the tower before an appropriate target has been found (the species has already been determined), character death is likely here. After the monster is felled, the remaining group will need to defend the area while Rick initiates bonding, which will take several minutes. In total, this part should run ICly from August 1st--3rd, into the morning of the 4th.

Part Two: Aftermath
Needless to say, the bonding isn't going to go exactly to plan. I don't want to spoil too much, HOWEVER, this part will affect characters who have close bonds to people outside the Tower. Rick will actively seek out these characters (as a human, mind) and will know intimate details about their relationships, but will consistently twist discussions about them around that character's greatest fears. This will continue until the administrators get involved--either through Rick's death, someone pointing it out to the admins personally, or at the natural resolution of the plot on the 8th (when they notice something's gone amiss). If you want to sign up for this part, post below and please include:
- character's close, out-of-Tower relationships (including CR with characters that left the Tower and are no longer present and AU versions of characters that are currently here), and as many personal details about them as possible;
- character's greatest fears, either about those relationships or in general, and;
- if your character is telepathic/can read minds/has similar mental abilities, since they might find out something interesting. :3
I'll try to arrange this part in a party-post fashion, but if you want me to hop in on a thread you're doing instead (or some other arrangement involving multiple individuals), don't hesitate to poke me (say, on Plurk) about it! I figure this part can be fairly flexible.

Happy plotting, lovelies!

Yep, I'm gonna do this.

The ones Lucifel is close to in his own world are most notably Enoch, his brother Michael and God.

I'll start with the relationship that's the easiest to tell about and that's Enoch.

In the beginning Lucifel used to wonder what made Enoch so special for him to be taken to Heaven as scribe by God's request. Judging from the IC Interview with Lucifel and Enoch it could be said that while Lucifel also had gotten interested in Enoch he also saw him as a potential threat who could take his status as God's favorite. However, one could say that he eventually warmed up to him as he started to show Enoch things from the future - like jeans or dancing flowers that react to sounds. During their journey Lucifel had become Enoch's anchor as soon as the latter had realized that he has become immortal and shown that he does care about the scribe. Even though he's still a mystery to him.

Michael and Lucifel... while they look like twins aside from hair and eye color, these two couldn't be more different. They have each a different taste of style, they are like night and day (theme-wise even). Despite that the brothers are close to each other. The game doesn't give away much information as it focuses mostly on Enoch's story, but during the scene where the Archangels were introduced Lucifel looks up and smiles, a very rare and genuine smile in fact. From the IC interview we get to know that that was meant for Michael, as Lucifel speaks fondly of Michael but doesn't leave a good hair on the other three archangels. It's pretty much lots of brotherly love hidden behind Lucifel's ambiguous talking.

And now... God. Their relationship is hard to describe as we only ever hear Lucifel's side while he is speaking to him on his phone. It's... very much like the relationship of a parent and a child - pun not intended. God is always the one to call Lucifel and from the way it sounds every time it's mostly God worrying and Lucifel calming Him down. Even though we just get to hear only one side, it can be said for sure that God's opinion of him is important to the angel. Losing his favor would be the worst that could happen to him. There are moments where Lucifel apparently has problems to understand His way of thinking, but he follows his orders nevertheless.

Now to what he would fear. One of the things he fears most is the above mentioned loss of God's favor. Another thing he might fear could be Enoch taking his place as God's favorite and could be tied to the first. A separation from Michael can be implied, even if he probably isn't aware of it because it isn't a scenario that should happen ever.

Lucifel generally fears mortality since he came to Animus. Knowing that his life could end in not even a year is something he never had been confronted with as he had been created as an immortal being.

And no, Lucifel isn't telepathic/can't read minds/hasn't similar mental abilities.

This is the moment where I noticed my own error. orz

I don't know if it would make a difference but Lucifel here is from the end game while the Enoch here is a game-transplant from Meridian, who was taken from El Shaddai from the middle of the 7th chapter. Technically his Enoch would actually be from the end of the game as well.

Other than that I'm looking forward to it as well!
