Elena will find that once she has reached LI 4, the first, smallest feeling of inadequacy she experiences will open the floodgates. It will quickly balloon into a quickly spiraling downward feeling of extreme resentment at herself and may border on self-harming/suicidal tendencies - coupled with the intense feeling that this would be the only way to make it better, to start over and try again. After all, look at how the symptoms have ruined her thus far. If anyone should try to stop her, she will feel even more pressured into getting away somewhere where she can self-hate in peace and may even react violently to those who don't understand her.

There has to be someone in the Tower that understands, right?

As the sometime bringer-of-death, yet at the same time relying heavily on his friends, upon reaching LI 4 Ryoji will begin to feel increasingly violent towards any of the CR that he spends time with. This will depend on how long he spends with another person, and will start as a whispering urge (that Ryoji might recall), getting louder and more insistent, until Ryoji begins to hallucinate and see how he might kill them, in vivid detail which -to his horror, later- he actually enjoys seeing.

Should Ryoji actually go ahead kill another character while at LI 4, the underlying Geostigmatic symptoms will recede back to LI 2 - almost as a reward for doing so. It's short-lived though and will always re-develop up to LI 4.

LI 5 Details
During LI 4, Ken will experience the most variation of negative emotions and at the most extreme level. He will, inexplicably swing from extreme, crippling sadness, to fits of rage that will demand that he take it out on someone - but nothing serves to quell any of them. This develops into severely homicidal leanings, under the illusion that no one else understands how he feels.

Mutations begin as soon as he passes into LI 5 - upon gaining the Jenova eyes Ken will go into an uncontrollable series of seizures that last anything from 10 mins to an hour at a time. The reason for this becomes apparent shortly as he's sprouting a large fin of scarlet spines/green membrane, out of the top of his head and running down his back. Though sore for a while after a seizure, these mutations will not encumber movement too much - in fact the membrane is very sensitive and can heighten his awareness in general. Fingers and toes will also become webbed in a similar manner and nails will force themselves into claws. His homicidal tendencies triple as he remains in LI 5 - to the extent that he might even try to attack Sephiroth instead of simply offering him his life to take.

I know we still have a fight thread going on, but Sephiroth is more likely to almost kill a monster of his own creation who is as violent as Ken and may kill others while he's alive. I'm still prepared to back-tag that thread out to it's completion.

LI 5 Details
Throughout LI 4, Yukiko will be pulled further into despair by having all of her CR sound as if they are insulting her even when in a normal, or even friendly conversation. To make it more confusing, these voices are indistinguishable from the way her friends are supposed to sound and may even overlap between what she thinks she hears and what she is actually hearing. As the infection level continues to rise, she will find herself more and more compelled to draw others' into situations that may kill them; all because 'they trust her - right?'

Mutation-wise, upon hitting LI 5 she will sport the same eyes as the others, but she will also find that as her time within LI 5 continues, a great rose-vine of a scarlet tendril will rise up from within her skin, to wind it's way all around her. It doesn't hurt to move within this vine, though her skin by this stage will have degraded into a patchwork of pale-grey petals - each one very fragile to break. Very early on in LI 5, Yukiko will sprout a dual-set of dragonfly-like wings on her left side; they are scarlet-spined like her vine with pale green membranes making up the wing part itself. She will find that she never quite gets how to re-adjust her balance and will be prone to stumbling at times.

Nesir's LI Cap will be 3

Whenever Nesir feels like she is being used, whether it be by another character or just general feelings with regard to the Tower the symptoms at all levels will quickly become almost unbearable to deal with. At LI 3, it will be much harder to resist these feelings from spiraling out of control, even illogically. Should she encounter Sephiroth, there is a 50% chance the symptoms may either worsen or recede a little.

Romeo's LI Cap will be 5

LI 5 Details
Within LI 4, Romeo becomes more and more opposite from himself. The light hearted, positive kid that never has a bad outlook on anything will rapidly start to invert itself. Hope becomes no hope, the half-full glass becomes more than half-empty and Romeo just has to tell everyone about it. The more he has provided moral support for a character in the past, the more he feels as if he has to smash it into a thousand pieces. Furthermore he will feel inclined to prove it to someone who might disagree with him, all to destroy the hope that he planted the seed for in the first place, within that person.

Mutations, once reaching LI 5 and gaining his Jenova eyes Romeo will mutate and sprout a four-set of white-feathered wings. They are rather big for his small body and are really heavy to move around with or even lift from dragging on the floor. Once encountering someone who must have their hope destroyed, Romeo's eyes will gleam golden for a time - like some great angel of bitter-truths. He will not have any tendencies to attack other people as such, more like cutting them down into a similar despair to him, with his words.

Suzaku's LI Cap will be 4

LI 4 Extra Details
That martyr complex, once Suzaku reaches LI 4 will slowly work itself up into an obsessive overdrive. Any and every excuse that might come around, or indeed might be an illusion/misgiving rather than an invitation, Suzaku will be there to take the hit/put his foot in it for just about anyone or anything regardless of how he feels with regard to them personally. Though as his time within LI 4 creeps on, this may turn into obsessive stalking for an opportunity or even talking another character into a situation which Suzaku can then be the martyr in.

Also, worth a note. His symptoms in general, will noticeably ease off when both him and Sephiroth are in their Dormitory at the same time.

Sephiroth-specific CR ideas (Optional): I know we talked about at one point having Diarmuid run into Sephiroth a lot during this, but it almost seems more amusing in a terrible way to have him go through this and NOT figure out who is behind it until afterward if ever. ~~And he was so sure Sephiroth was up to something... LOL!~~

Obviously at such a low level, I don't plan on having him die, but he will get drained pretty far when Sephiroth throws the kill switch. Hopefully, that is okay! I figure Waver throwing energy at him through the bond will be enough to keep him alive.

Diarmuids' LI Cap will be 2.

Edit: Speaking of drawing energy...how likely is he to realize he's having to draw more energy from Waver to replace what is being taken from him? Because if it is something he would be able to notice even just a little...he already feels guilty for 'weakening' him and that would probably be a good negative emotion to have him focus on for his emotional dips...

As the event draws on this will become more noticeable, though to start with Diarmuid probably won't recognize the insignificant amount Sephiroth is leeching as a cause for concern. He's being discreet so not to attract admin attention as well, after all!

That paranoia, that all of those that see her as friends -or even just acquaintances- really just cannot stand being around her and only pay her lip-service out of their own selfish idea of manners, becomes unable to be ignored as Veronica passes into LI 4, and may randomly cause geostigmatic fits. To the point where she will find it increasingly difficult to bury and keep to herself. Any CR that try to convince her otherwise run the risk of triggering a violent reaction; why don't they stop lying already, she can handle it.

For Sephiroth specific-CR I've a handy plotting thread now - he'd enjoy having an excuse to kill Veronica an obscene amount of times if she would keep trying to kill him.

Veronica is already dead by the time that Sephiroth calls Reunion and so is not effected.

Any other preferences/ideas with regards to Illusions/Negative Emotions:Though there is a core of Sane!Lancelot in him that manages Strategy, Berserker is mostly Mad with both Rage and Sorrow. The virus would only intensify both his madness and his power, driving him completely insane and overpowering him to a ridiculous degree.

Sephiroth-specific CR ideas (Optional): I'd like to have him offer his life to Sephiroth if possible, but I'm just as happy with the kill switch if that's what's on offer at this point!

I'm going to go ahead and let Lancelot get all the way up to LI5 - he is fairly close CR to Sephiroth after all.

You can backdate your progression/however many deaths on the way as need be but Lancelot must be back alive and at no less than LI3 by 23rd March and will be killed by the Killswitch in Phase #2

Your ideas seem fairly solid as well for the negative emotions/mutations so I'm going to let you run with that as well how you see fit. Use this as an excuse to go and be terrible. As for Lancelot offering his life to Sephiroth, this could happen at some point early in this week (w/c 17th) so that he'll be back in time for the Killswitch, he'd have to be at LI5 for that particular quirk to work in.

Oh yes, he'll be around as usual throughout the first part of the event - though generally being 'powered up' a lot due to all this energy charging.

After the killswitch is thrown there will be a mingle log for fallout and Sephiroth interaction purposes as well.

Herewith specific plotting thread for Sephiroth Encounters/fights/deaths whether your character is effected by the event or not.

This is for anything to happen in Stage 1 - 10-22nd March.

Important Note: As the Plot draws to it's climax on 23rd March, Sephiroth will become steadily more empowered as he is leeching energy passively throughout the run-up. As if he wasn't hard enough to kill already Sephiroth will not be dying at any point during the event up until that point.

But by all means if you want to attack him and then flee, attack him and then be killed, or for LI4 -5 encounters/deaths/close calls etc - go mad there are many days to fill.

Somewhere near the climax, Veronica will be on the warpath. I suppose through some manner, she figures out that Sephiroth is doing something and goes after him. Or alternately, she wanders across him while suffering from the her infection and flies into a blind rage and tries to kill him without reason.

Either way, she obviously wont survive but she'll still put up a fight.

As she progresses from LI 3 into 4 I imagine if she keeps coming across Sephiroth it will become more and more obvious that she's ill from something he is doing, and the energy 'pull' will be more definable later on as she'll be in more 'tune' with him. She won't know 100% for sure but there will be that gut feeling.

Could work to drive her into gunning for him and then flying into a blind rage at him towards the end (or even of the fight itself) - he certainly could provoke that blind rage at that point. That's perfect! <3

That could work very well~ I'm picturing that she'll be really angry after possibly harming some of her close CR because of her paranoia, so she'll use the pull of energy to lead her to him and die fighting him in a blind rage.

It'll be very easy for him to make her angry at that point.
